With a formal training in architecture and design, my research acknowledges the limited reference to a supporting physical environment towards fulfillment of children’s rights in urban areas. Specifically, my work examines the impact of urban built environments upon children and young people’s holistic development. Using interdisciplinary research methodologies through a participatory lens, I critically position my work within the theoretical frameworks of environmental social sciences and architectural research and design.
